2025 Cadillac XT6: Redesign, New Model, Specs and Release. The XT6 arrived almost two years ago and while it has to offer some pretty good things in the segment of mid-size SUVs, it still struggles to establish a decent position on the market. Still, the management doesn’t want to make any rash decisions, so the 2025 Cadillac XT6 will carry on pretty much in the same way, with one big difference. Yes, we are talking about the Super Cruise semi-autonomous driving system, which is definitely something that can boost up sales. Other than that, things will remain the same.
This means that you may count on a premium crossover that is also very practical. It offers one of the biggest cabins in the segment, whether it’s about passengers or cargo space. Furthermore, we like its long list of tech and safety features, while the overall styling seems quite appealing. On the other side, the overall impression is that most rivals are more sophisticated and have more of that premium factor.
We expect to see the 2025 Cadillac XT6 sometime in the last quarter of the year.
2025 Cadillac XT6 Engines
Under the hood, you may count on GM’s familiar units. Base models will come equipped with a 2.0-liter turbo-four, which puts out around 237 horsepower. More ambitious drivers may opt for a 3.6-liter V6. This one is good for about 310 horsepower and offers notably better dynamics. Both engines come in pair with a 9-speed automatic transmission.
When it comes to fuel economy, the base turbo-four is obviously a better choice. It returns around 21 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway, which is good for the class. The V6 is thirstier, especially in the city, where it returns around 19 mpg, while the highway economy goes around 25 mpg.
2025 Cadillac XT6 Redesign
This aspect of the 2025 Cadillac XT6 definitely won’t change. We are talking about a quite fresh model, which has been around for less than two years. The company believes it’s still early for bigger changes, so the overall design will definitely remain the same. Mechanically, this model shares most of its parts with GMC Acadia, including the wheelbase, which goes around 112.7 inches. The overall setup is pretty good and ensures a comfortable and smooth ride. Logically, this makes handling not particularly engaging, so more ambitious drivers would probably choose something different.
Visually, this model looks very sharp, following the brand’s latest design language. We like its Escalade-like face, as well as the boxy overall shape. For the next year, the best we could see are novelties in terms of new color options. Other than that, things should remain the same.
Interior
The inside of the 2025 Cadillac XT6 should continue in the same way. As we already mentioned, the cabin of this model is quite spacious and provides plenty of room for passengers and cargo. The first two rows are generous with space, while the third one is typically tight for the segment. Also, we believe that seats would use more side support. On the other side, the driver’s position is good, while visibility is great in all directions.
In terms of the overall interior quality, the XT6 looks fine, but not exactly on par with other premium mid-size SUVs. There is a decent amount of areas with hard plastics and the overall impression is that too many parts have been borrowed from Chevy and GMC counterparts.
Features
AS we’ve just mentioned, the biggest novelty for the next year would be the additions of Cadillac’s Super Cruise system. This system provides semi-autonomous driving capability, so the new XT6 will be able to make a predetermined route without human intervention.
Other than that, we expect that the 2025 Cadillac XT6 will continue in the same way. The list of standard equipment should include goodies like tri-zone climate control, keyless entry, a sunroof, an 8-inch touch screen, six USB ports, Bluetooth, a Wi-Fi hot spot, an eight-speaker Bose stereo, satellite radio, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay etc. The list of options would include goodies like an 8-inch digital gauge cluster, wireless device charging, navigation, a 14-speaker Bose stereo, and a rear-seat entertainment system with dual displays.
When it comes to safety features, all models will come standard with a rearview camera, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, forward collision warning, forward automatic emergency braking, rear and front parking sensors etc. The list of options is pretty long and includes things like blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, a surround-view parking camera system, a night vision camera, adaptive cruise control, reverse automatic emergency braking, parallel and perpendicular park assist etc.
2025 Cadillac XT6 Release Date and Price
We expect to see the 2025 Cadillac XT6 sometime late in the year, with a starting price of around 53.000 dollars. Some of the key competitors are Lincoln Aviator, Audi Q7, Acura MDX etc.
