2025 Kia Soul Redesign, Interior, Turbo, and Price. When the South Korean carmaker has introduced its small crossover the Kia Soul back in 2009, it instantly became very popular. It is because of its interesting and unique styling, good quality and versatility. The current version has been on a market for quite some time, and now the carmaker is preparing the all-new Soul It is the 2025 Kia Soul which will represent the next generation model.
The Kia Soul has always been very popular since its debut and the lack of power was its only major flaw. However, the 2017 model year has brought a new turbocharged powertrain. Furthermore, the 2018 Soul has arrived with an upgraded UVO3 infotainment system which has become standard on the Soul Plus version. As well, the Plus Primo package is now Primo Lit package and offers HID headlamps, new exterior color-the Wild Orange and LED positioning lights.
The newest 2025 Kia Soul is the next-gen model and will bring various upgrades. It has been spotted during its testing and from what we can see the Soul will keep its traditional boxy shape. However, it seems that it will finally be available with an all-wheel-drive configuration. Furthermore, it will now ride on the new platform.
2025 Kia Soul Engine and performance
The 2025 Kia Soul will probably use the same engine options as the current model. And there will be three options. The base is a 1.6-liter inline-4 which is able to develop 130 hp and the torque of 118 pound-feet. This unit will work with either 6-speed manual or a six-speed automatic gearbox. With a manual transmission, this unit gets 24/30 mpg while with an automatic it is rated at 25/30 mpg.
The second option is a 2.0-liter inline-4. This engine will have the output of 161 horses and 150 lb-ft of torque. This engine will be mated to a six-speed automatic only. It is rated at 25/30 mpg in the city/highway.
The last option is a 1.6-liter inline-4 turbocharged which will be able to deliver 201 hp and the torque of 195 pound-feet. It will work with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. This engine gets 26 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway. The front-wheel-drive system will be standard. However, the 2025 model year should get an optional all-wheel-drive system for the first time.
Design of exterior and interior
The 2025 Kia Soul will now ride on the new platform which will allow it to be offered with all-wheel drive configuration too. Visually, the newest Kia will retain its recognizable boxy shape. However, we assume that it should get slightly restyled headlamps and new grille design. The rear end will also sport revised taillights.
The interior should continue with the same styling. And perhaps it could get some changes in the tech department. The current base version comes standard with Bluetooth, satellite radio, a split-fold rear seat, air conditioning, audio system and 16-inch wheels. The Soul Plus adds 17-inch wheels, a rearview camera, a 5.0-inch display, and so on. The Soul Exclaim will include keyless ignition, leather seats, 18-inch wheels etc.
Release date and price
The 2025 Kia Soul should arrive in late 2019 or at the beginning of 2025. The pricing is not yet available.
